French Ignore Ban

Thanks to Smokers Against Discrimination for posting this on Facebook-

Anti-smoking group Droits des Non-Fumeurs (Non-Smokers Rights) has taken it upon themselves to conduct a survey to assess the level of compliance with France's five year old smoking ban.

They did not like the results. Apparently, many French smokers have decided that they're just not going to adhere to the Neo-Bishops of Do-Gooderism. Oh, but of course, the anti-smokers always have an answer to everything:

The organisation is calling for an increase in the number of inspections to stamp out the rise.

Yep, that's the solution! Prohibition works see? Oh, and I'm sure that France has plenty of money to spend on the enforcement of such minor "offenses", right?

They just don't get it. We need to restore freedom of choice so that we may all live together in relative peace. Their way of doing things is obviously not working, and it never will.

  1. Frank Davis has picked up your piece, J, here in England.

Good for the French. I expect that the Spanish are doing much the same.

  2. "Frank Davis has picked up your piece, J, here in England."

Thanks for letting me know! I'll go and check it out:-)
