What's even more disturbing than the article itself, are the comments that follow.

They are very telling about the kind of society that we are evolving into. No longer is is unacceptable to refer to our fellow human beings as "fatty", as the term is used several times when referring to many of our brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, and friends without any intervention or condemnation. Many of us smokers have already become accustomed to the venomous insults perpetrated against us by the new, healthist elite; hence, we predicted that the tent of the persecuted would expand to include more than just smokers. It looks like we were right. The vitriolic hatred towards everyone and anything that does not fit into the newly annointed, eugenicist notion of health is clearly on the rise, and that is clearly unhealthy. Striving for health is one thing, but losing our humanity is another.
