Leonard Cheshire Disability appoints tobacco company as corporate partner - Third Sector

Thanks to Eddie Douthwaite for e-mailing this to me.

"The disability charity Leonard Cheshire Disability has appointed Japan Tobacco International, one of the world's largest tobacco manufacturers, as a corporate partner and has accepted a substantial donation from the firm."

  1. I'm quite pleased that Leonard Cheshire is accepting this donation. When I was at Portland College, near Mansfield I realised what a fantastic job they did for people like me with a disability.
Many students smoked and so did members of staff, so I'm sure that nobody would mind where this donation is coming from.

Good luck to the Leonard Cheshire charity...a true charity it has to be said...and not a fake one.

  2. It's certainly better than having the money go into the pockets of some virulent bureaucrat!
